Today for many of us we have opted when buying a new TV to choose to go for one of the LCD, HD or Plasma flat screen models. These sleek instruments look so much more pleasing to the eye as they take up considerably less space than the much bulker types we use to have. But to further up space in a room after making such a purchase then consider using flat screen wall mounts to get yours off the floor.

If you do choose to mount your flat screen TV on a wall then you need to remember that you get the right sort of mounting brackets for yours. Just because your TV is considerably slimmer than the previous model they can still weight quite a bit. If you don’t get the right flat screen wall mounts then it won’t be securely fixed to the wall and eventually the whole thing including the TV can come away from the wall.

So what sort of mounting bracket should you be opting for when it comes to getting one that allows you to mount your flat screen TV on a wall? Below we look at the three types of mounting brackets now available.

1. Fixed Flat Screen Wall Mount – These are the easiest of all the mounting brackets that one can install for placing a flat screen TV on a wall. However the angle of the screen once mounted on this bracket cannot be adjusted so you must ensure you put it at a height that is at a level with your eyes that you find comfortable. If you don’t then you may find yourself suffering from neck, shoulder and back problems in the future. As well as being the easiest type of mounting bracket to install because of its simplicity it is also the cheapest to purchase.

2.	Tilting Flat Screen Wall Mount – Although not as easy to install as the first type of flat screen wall mounts discussed in this article it is a lot easier to install than the final type. However, you will soon discover the cost of these types is slightly higher than the fixed model kinds. But it comes with the added benefit of allowing you to vertically adjust the screen so provides you with more flexibility of where it can be viewed within a room. So you don’t need to be sat in a chair only to enjoy the program or film you are watching. You can tilt the screen and watch it whilst laid on the floor if you wish, certainly children may find this type of viewing more enjoyable.

3. Articulated Flat Screen Mount – This one is the most difficult to install and is also the most expensive. So it may be advisable to use the services of a professional to have these particular kinds of flat screen wall mounts installed. But as you will soon discover there are a number of advantages that these types come with compared to the other two mentioned in this article. With this particular kind of wall mounting for flat screen TV’s you are able to adjust the viewing position of the screen both vertically and horizontally as it allows you to move it away from the wall if you need to. Yet they still don’t seem to intrude in to the room as they can then be pushed back against the wall once viewing has finished as with the fixed style.

Today when people are purchasing a new television for their homes they are opting for the aesthetically pleasing LCD, HD or Plasma models. Plus they also allow the homeowner to free up more space within a room instead of being stood on a unit on the floor they can be placed up on a wall using television wall mounts instead.

But along with the freeing up of space within a room because no longer is a large piece of furniture required on which the TV needs to stand. There are other benefits to be gained from using a television wall mount and below we look at a few more of these.

Firstly no longer are you having to look at wires and cables hanging down from the television, instead you have the option to either put them into the wall or hide them behind the TV. So the chances of young children coming along and playing with them or even pulling the wires out are greatly reduced.

Secondly the television is placed at a height that your neck, shoulders and upper body will find more pleasing. So this means there is much less strain being placed on these parts of your body which in turn means that the time you sit in front of yours watching your favourite program or film will be more enjoyable.

Thirdly, by hanging the TV using wall mounts means that you can layout the room that is much more practical for the kind of lifestyle you and your family live. You can actually create a special area in the room where people can sit to watch the television. So you can set up seating in front of the TV whilst still not blocking the view from the back. Meaning you can have a traditional seating arrangement or you could go for a more home theatre style seating arrangement.

However when it comes to the mounting of the TV on to a wall you need to be careful. Make sure that you purchase the right size TV wall mounts for the size and weight of the TV you have. If at all unsure refer to the manufacturers manual which comes with the TV you have purchased. Plus don’t be afraid to employ the services of a qualified installer to carry out the work for you.

The main benefit to employing the services of a person to professionally install television wall mounts is that they will have the appropriate equipment. They will also be able to better determine the best position for mounting your plasma, LCD or HDTV in a room. So ensuring that you enjoy watching yours to its utmost.

Are you looking to reduce the amount of space that the Samsung TV in your living room or bedroom takes up? If you are then it is worth considering investing money in purchasing a Samsung wall mount. But it is important that you install the wall mounting bracket for your Samsung TV correctly so that you enjoy what is shown on it properly.

You can if you want hire a professional to install the Samsung wall mount you have purchased. But if money is an issue and feel confident in your DIY skills then you can always install it yourself. If you do choose to install it yourself there are certain steps that you need to follow and which we discuss below. By following these then you are going to be ensuring that your Samsung wall mount bracket is installed properly.

Tip 1 – After choosing the wall on which you wish to mount your Samsung TV you need to find the studs in the wall. It is crucial that you find exactly where these are as these are what your TV wall mounting bracket are going to be secured to. To easily find the studs in the wall you should use a stud finder which can be purchased from your local DIY or hardware store as well as online. Also when the studs have been found make sure that you fix the wall mounting screws into the centre of each one as this will ensure that the bracket is more securely fixed against the wall.

Tip 2 – As you find each stud you should mark them with a pencil on the wall and then before you begin drilling the holes through which the mounting screws will go put up the mounting bracket. Rather than lifting the weight of the bracket instead make a cardboard template of it and use this to confirm that where you wish to drill the holes of the bracket are level on each side. Only when you feel everything is in the right position should you actually begin drilling into the wall studs at the points marked. Also after every couple of times drilling holes confirm that everything is still on the correct level.

Tip 3 – Once you have completed drilling the holes for the mounting bracket now you can attach the bracket to the wall. However, don’t tighten up all screws as yet as you need to make sure that the bracket is level plus also drill a hole behind the bracket that allows you to hide the TV wiring. But you don’t need to drill holes to hide the cables instead use a cable tidy instead. Then when satisfied that everything is ready now tightened up the screws that allows the Samsung wall mount to be fixed securely to the wall.

Only when you are completely satisfied that the Samsung wall mount you have installed is completely secure then you can actually mount your TV on to it. At this stage you may well find that you need some else to assist you as these TV’s tend to be quite heavy and so trying to attach the wires along with fixing it to the wall mounting bracket on your own can prove very difficult indeed.

As there are so many different types of LCD TV wall mounts now available how are you able to tell which one is going to be the best for your particular purpose. Below we take a look at just some of the things that you should keep in mind when shopping for yours.

Previously the wall mounts for LCD TV’s were those that the manufacturer of the TV you purchased had recommended or had manufactured. So of course there was no need to figure out exactly which one was best for your LCD TV. However, now manufacturers of TV’s have come up with a basic setup in relation to the rear of their TVs which enables us to be able to purchase and use a universal wall mount instead.

As a result of this you not only save money but also time as the holes that are needed in the TV to attach to the wall mounts have been predrilled. So of course this actually means mounting them on the wall is far less tricky and in many cases if carried out correctly can be done by you rather than employing a professional to carry out the work.

Although the universal LCD TV wall mounts come with the same sorts of hardware there are slight differences between them. For example for those who want a clean look then going for the standard mounting is best. These are the kinds of wall mounts that keep the TV just an inch away from the wall but need to be mounted in a position that enables them to be viewed easily at all times.

For those who want to say mount their LCD TV higher up a wall say in a bedroom or in a kitchen then the wall mounting that tilts is a much better option. This one will cause the LCD TV to be further away from the wall on which it is mounted but allows the position at which the screen is viewed to be adjusted. Fitting this type of LCD TV wall mount in a bedroom allows the opportunity for you to watch TV when you are laid down on your bed as well as being sat up on it. But be aware how much the mount tilts will depend on the make and model of mount used along with the size of the LCD TV mounted on to it.

If you are intending to go for the LCD TV wall mounts that can be adjusted you now need to decide whether you want to operate this feature manually or remotely. Certainly if you are going to be someone that wishes to move the display often then it is worth investing the extra money in those mounts that can come with a ratchet system to do this quickly and easily.

Finally for those who are wanting to position their LCD TV in one place in a room but would like to be able to view the screen from any part of the room at any time. Then going for articulated LCD TV wall mounts should be seriously considered. These are the kinds that not only tilt the screens position but allow you to swivel the TV so that it can be viewed well from any point in a room.

When it comes to choosing a television wall mount as there are so many different makes and models so finding your ideal one can prove a little overwhelming at first. But by actually working out exactly what you want then deciding which one is the most suitable for you. Below we offer some tips that you may find useful and which can then help you to determine exactly which type of wall TV mount for your screen is the best.

Tip 1 – It is important that you make sure that your TV whether Plasma, LCD or HD is VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) compatible. If you are not at all sure then look through the owner’s manual that was provided with your TV when purchased. However, a much quicker way of being able to determine this is to go online.

Tip 2 – Once you know that your TV is VESA compatible you now need to make sure that the television wall mount you are selecting is designed for the size of Plasma, LCD or HD TV you have purchased. Therefore if you TV measures 42 inches then make sure that the mounting you are getting for it supports that particular size.

Tip 3 – When it comes to purchasing your Television wall mount along with making sure that is the right size for your TV it must be one that can support the weight of the TV as well. This is very crucial if you are intending to use a wall TV mount with a plasma model as they tend to weigh quite a bit more than HD or LCD types. You don’t want to end up with having to replace your TV because it has fallen to the ground and smashed because the wall mount wasn’t strong enough to bear the TV’s weight.

Tip 4 – When it comes to getting a wall mounting for putting your TV on to free up space in a room you have to consider whether it will need to move allowing you to view the TV easily from different points within it. Today there are even wall TV mounts available that allow you to adjust the screen position as they can be swivelled or tilted. However you need to be aware that these models tend to cost considerably more than the basic types that just keep the screen flat against the wall.

Tip 5 – For those who are intending to put their television wall mount high up on a wall then going for the tilting version is a best option. This will then allow you to tilt the screen down by at least 15 degrees so that you can view the screen comfortably. Plus it is the perfect wall TV mount to go for if a lot of sunlight is entering into the room so helping you to eliminate light reflecting on it.

Tip 6 – If you need to be able to view your TV from different parts of the room then going for a swivel television wall mount should be your preferred option. There are some models that can allow you to swivel the TV around by as much as 180 degrees so offers you the opportunity to view the TV from another room altogether.

Installing Plasma TV mounts is a relatively simple operation. However if the correct pre installation procedures are not followed then this can lead to problems in the future. By not following the guidelines we provide below the chances of your wall TV mount coming loose at some point in the future is greatly increased.

So what things will need to be taken into consideration and carried out prior to the mounting and fixing of the bracket on a wall to which a Plasma TV can then be mounted onto? Below as we mention above we offer some pre installation guidelines that can prove helpful prior to you fixing the wall TV mount for your plasma screen up.

Where The Bracket Should Be Positioned In A Room?

Ideally you should choose a location where very little reshuffling of furniture already within the room requires to take place. If you can afford try avoid placing it in a position where it is too close to a window as this can lead to the clarity of the picture on the screen becoming distorted because more bright light will be able to bounce on to it. If you do need to place your plasma TV mounts close to a natural light source then make sure that you can cover this up during the day with blinds or curtains.

If you can place it in a position where light is shining on top of the TV as this will help to reduce the level of strain being placed on your eyes as you watch TV. Remember the light being emitted from the screen will be bright and if further bright light is bouncing on to it from a window this can lead to some serious eye problems for those watching it resulting in them suffering headaches.

What Size Is Your Plasma TV Screen?

You need to be aware that when it comes to Plasma TV’s unlike LCD ones these will come with much larger displays. So how long your TV is will have a direct bearing on how much it weighs and this will then determine the kind of wall TV mount that you can purchase for it to be placed on. It is important to remember that each bracket that allows you to mount a Plasma TV on a wall comes with weight restrictions. So if you want to reduce the risk of your Plasma TV mounts becoming detached from the wall make sure that it is capable of carrying more than the weight of the TV you have.

How Much Can You Afford To Spend?

This is certainly a major consideration when it comes to purchasing and installing wall TV mount brackets for Plasma screens. If you want to be able to view the screen easily from difficult angles within a space then swivel or tilting Plasma TV mounts are your best option, but they do cost considerably more than the conventional ones that just keep the TV mounted in one position.

Today when it comes to flat screen mounts they come in a wide variety of different sizes so that makes them suitable for small, medium and large size TVs. However, it is important that before you invest money in purchasing wall TV mount for your flat screen you know exactly what size it is. Plus if you can when making your purchase take with you the make and model of flat screen TV that you wish to put on the mount.

By knowing the size as well as the model number of your television you can go online and look at the flat screen mounts that are most suitable for it. However, there are certain other factors that you must take into consideration when it comes to buying a wall TV mount for your flat screen television. Below we take a look at just what some of these are.

1.	How Much Weight Can The Mount Hold?

Of all the factors that one needs to take into consideration this is the most important of them all. It is important that the mount you select is solidly built so that is more than capable of taking the full weight of the TV once mounted on to it. If you fail to go for a cheaper model made from poor quality materials then you may find yourself having to spend more money replacing your flat screen when it comes detached from the mounting and falls down.

2.	Would you like the opportunity to adjust the angle of the TV so that it can viewed from any part of the room in which it is located?

If you would then you should consider going for a wall mount for your TV that rotates from side to side. However be aware that these do cost considerably more than the fixed types but will allow you to view the TV from the best position possible in that room.

3.	How Much Can You Afford To Spend?

This is another very important factor to take into consideration when deciding which of the many flat screen mounts you are considering purchasing. If the wall mount is constructed from high strength steel and if the rotating version has titanium bearings rather than stamped metal ones then of course you will have to pay considerably more for these types.

4. Do Your Research Beforehand Buying?

Yes you can visit several outlets including DIY stores where these flat screen mounts can be purchased. But the quickest and most effective way of being able to determine just which one is going to be the most suitable for your size of television is to go online. By going online you have the opportunity to spend time quickly comparing the various wall TV mounts for you flat screen as these sites provide you with the full technical specifications for each one. Then when you are satisfied it is just a quick click of the mouse and you can make your purchase to then have the item delivered directly to your home.
